A very reliable dinghy as a tender (and more)
Having a small dinghy as a tender is the most common choice. Convenient to store on board, even if the boat has no davit, tender lift or garage, some can even be rolled up and stowed in a locker. It is a small flat-keeled boat weighing 24 kilograms, despite its length of 2.30 meters and width of 1.34 meters. Place up to 3 people on board plus jerry cans and shopping bags, for a total load of up to 300 kg. The dinghy is fully inflatable, both for the tubular (which has a diameter of 36 centimeters) and the dunnage, so it is really convenient to stow in its bag when not in use, to keep it in a locker or shelter it on land. And made of Strongan fabric, a popular plastic material. The Zodiac 230 Cadet Aero comes with a pair of aluminum oars, the foot inflator, and a small aluminum bench/seat that can be very easily disassembled. Also included in the package is the repair kit, while the engine is not included. Regarding propulsion, the manufacturer Zodiac recommends a maximum power output of 4 hp (or equivalent for electric motors).
LOA: 2.3 m; B.max: 1.34 m; Max Power: 4hp
Also rowing
The Zodiac 230 tender is among the most popular models in the Cadet Alu range, which includes models from 2 to 3.50 meters, all fully inflatable. By holding the bench on the center support, the seat is more balanced. It is ideal when rowing.
The session for governing
With the bench mounted aft, you have a comfortable seat to act directly on the outboard motor.
