These are the best family boats of 2019: Best for Family. According to the jury of the Best of Boats Award these boats have features that encourage use by a family at sea. In other words, the boats grouped in this category have enough space to comfortably accommodate several generations on board, basically parents and children. In addition, they pay special attention to the safety of the youngest sailors and solutions that facilitate long stays on board. Here is the ranking of the five finalists of the models launched in 2019
Jeanneau NC 37 (FRA)
Second renewed model of the inboard coupe line of the French brand Jeanneau. The Jeanneau NC 37 impresses with its excellent use of space. In less than 11.5 meters it houses three double cabins. As the manufacturer himself admits, the third is to be considered an emergency cabin, for boys or a large storage space. Pleasant to steer even when the sea is not perfectly flat. It is not a dragster, but not even asked, it makes comfortable even in navigation the life of those on board.

A project designed for those who do not spend much time below deck, but prefer life … on the surface. Up to 10 people sit around the table. In order not to give up space to store what you want to take on a cruise, the Norwegian shipyard Marex has inserted waterproof containers foamed under the seats.

Parker 790 Explorer

Perfect choice for traditional cruise passengers, but with some significant innovations brought by the Polish shipyard Parker. Unlike what usually happens in the type, the living work has been made modern, with a hull with two steps, integrated braket for housing the outboard and hull with centralized V to improve efficiency and stability of the hull.

Sealine C 390
Other coupé, but English style. The Sealine, part of the German Hanse group, is carrying out a profound renewal of its models. So it is the turn of the 12 meters Sealine C390. It doesn’t upset you for how many cabins it gives you, but for how it makes you feel in the three (plus two) bathrooms you have. The entire living area is on the same level, right from the cockpit. The kitchen, as is now mandatory, is next to the entrance door, and communicates directly with the cockpit by opening the glass that protects it aft.
