Electrification, integration, control, and optimization. These are the key words behind the new Fathom e-Power, launched by Navico and resting on the firepower of the group’s top brands, now part of the marine giant Brunswick. What is the Fathom e-Power? It is a system with which you can land the on-board generator and have a more effective solution on board. Let’s see in practice how it works.

Fathom E-Power

The Fathom takes advantage of a lithium-ion battery pack that is able to stow and then deliver the necessary energy on board, with instrumentation to manage, automate, and streamline each process. The advantage lies, first and foremost, in the integration and completeness of the Fathom, which is, in addition to what we have already mentioned, also capable of power conversion, monitoring what is happening on board, and managing everything with a simple interface.

The fact is that, with brands such as Mastervolt, BEP, CZone and others, Navico has managed to encapsulate a monstrous level of know-how and technology. In this day and age, boat power consumption is a nagging issue. Whether it is a weekend or a longer cruise, but also a day, without energy we can hardly be at peace.

On board, comfort must reign supreme, and by “comfort” we mean everything from ice-cold beer in the refrigerator to the gyro stabiliser that keeps us from getting seasick. In short, power on board is always needed and its management is not so easy. Navico offers this solution with the aim of meeting the needs of all types of boaters (from the small open to the cabin cruiser).

Fathom E-Power: so you control onboard power from your phone

Another cornerstone of this product is user usability. In fact, the interface is designed so as to allow both an immediacy in understanding the information coming to us and easy access to it.

With this hyper-integrated and, in some ways, autonomous battery pack, you will be able to stay away from charging sources on a boat for a longer time because of the increased capacity, but also because of the optimised operation of such a system. Without a generator, then, it is a whole different experience, both in terms of noise and smells.

Fathom E-Power – Customisable Kits

The Fathom is available in various customisable 12 V, 24 V and 48 V kits, and is designed to integrate into a wide range of vessels. Specifically, for lithium-ion batteries, the brand of choice is Mastervolt.
