The new Ferretti Yachts 720 is one of the latest boats presented by Ferretti Yachts. It is the result of the collaboration between the Strategic Product Committee and Engineering Management of the Ferretti Group and the architect Filippo Salvetti, who has designed the exterior, while the interior design is made by Ferretti Group architects and designers.
Ferrets Yachts 720, from stern to bow
The Ferretti Yachts 720 is 73.3 feet (22.30 meters) long and 18.4 feet (5.60 meters) wide and is characterized by a streamlined and aerodynamic line. Aesthetically pleasing, it has superyacht solutions, starting from the beach club in the stern. In the center of the beach, a large hatch opens up to reveal a sofa.
A convivial area at sea level, further enhanced by the possibility of moving the beach with electro-hydraulic movement. Moving it reveals further steps down to the transom, and allows you to launch a tender up to 3.95 meters long or three-seater jet ski. In the standard version, instead of the sofa, it is possible to have storage space for two Seabob.
At the bow modular spaces and a large relaxation sundeck in the dining area with a central table. On the sides of the sundecks some object and glass holders with four retractable courtesy lights and carbon poles to support a bimini able to fully cover the area.
Flybridge of the boat
The 31 square meter flybridge is lightweight, made of carbon fiber and composite materials where the second control station is located at the bow on the right. In the middle of the boat, a central dinette is served by the bar area – with cooking area, fridge, sink and storage compartments – located aft where it is also possible to set up the boat with freestanding furniture. On request, it is possible to have a crane with Williams tender up to 3.25 m or jet ski.
You can choose between a standard version with central roll-bar and integrated retractable bimini, while the optional hardtop configuration is available in three different versions: with fixed glass, with integrated bimini or with opening slats.
At the stern, there is a sofa facing a table for 8 people and it is possible to further extend the convivial area by adding another sofa or a small bar cabinet to starboard, close to the full-beam glass door to the saloon. The window can be opened from the side and can be moved to the starboard side, hiding entirely on the starboard side.
The saloon of this boat is an open space of 27 square meters, with heights exceeding 2 meters, organized in 3 rooms: the living area with two large opposing sofas with large storage is separated from the dining area. At the bow, and then behind the dining area, there is the kitchen which has a hob facing a hidden sink; an electric door to the left side walkway allows better flow management and facilitates the flow of service. On the opposite side of the kitchen, on the starboard side, there is the dashboard, arranged on a double level.

On the opposite side of the kitchen, to starboard, there is the control panel, arranged on a double level with four displays with a maximum size of 16″, and an electric window positioned next to the pilot seat.
Interiors
Continuing the exploration of the boat, at the side of the bridge, there are the steps leading to the lower deck, where the layout includes 4 cabins. Here too the heights exceed 2 m. Below the stairs down, an additional storage compartment can eventually become a small laundry room. In the middle of the boat, the owner’s suite, located on a dedicated level, is a 20m2 full-beam room, preceded by a relaxation area with a large sofa.
Then, the spaces lead to the bed and, behind it towards the stern, to a dedicated walk-in closet on the left and the large bathroom on the starboard side, with two washbasins and separate toilet and shower. This arrangement ensures greater sound insulation from the engine room. The two double cabins have two separate beds and share a bathroom with open bathroom functionality, while at the far bow we find the VIP cabin, with its own bathroom and separate shower.
On the lower deck, we also find the crew quarters, with a service area – which includes a laundry room and a double cabin with separate bathroom and shower – with access to the engine room. Access is from the cockpit, under the flybridge ladder.
The master cabin
The owner’s cabin is in the style of the main deck and has a walk-in closet and a large owner’s bathroom with smoked glass inserts. This presents a functional design in the forms and in line with current trends. In general, the style of this new model is based on a successful mixing of different textures, the stripes of the skylight, the checkering of the bedheads and the oblique striped pattern of the saloon furniture.
Boat motorization
The Ferretti Yachts 720 can be equipped with a pair of MAN V12 engines with a power of 1400 hp. According to the shipyard’s data in this configuration, it reaches 32 knots at maximum speed and 28 knots at cruising speed. The standard engine configuration, on the other hand, is equipped with 1200 hp MAN V8 torque. On request is available the “stabilization package” composed of two Seakeeper (READ MORE ABOUT THE STABILIZERS).
The dashboard instrumentation is integrated and installs the LOOP system developed in collaboration with Naviop-Simrad that allows the monitoring of the main functions of propulsion, navigation, generator management, and air conditioning.
We also find the new generation electro-hydraulic steering system, developed in collaboration with XENTA, which, among many advantages, offers greater comfort and driving precision thanks to the extreme maneuverability of the rudder and an optimal setting of the turn in all sea conditions, even at high speeds.
The steering system can be completed with a joystick package coupled with a powerful proportional propeller, which includes docking and tiller/cruise functionality. The cruise function allows you to increase constant speed or decelerate, the tiller allows you to correct the course as if you were acting on the rudder. In addition, the bow thruster provided in the joystick package is brushless, i.e. without creeping contacts, more suitable for continuous use as it provides very low overheating and greater resistance over time.
