Big party in Senigallia, with fireworks over the sea. No patron saint, but 30 years in business Timone Yachts wanted to celebrate, in the place where it all began, its milestone. And, of course, the increasingly strong partnership with the prestigious Azimut Benetti brand, for which the company has been an official dealer since 1992.
Since 1988 the company has been able to grow steadily, also opening offices in Lignano Sabbiadoro and Rimini. At the same time as the sales activity, Timone Yachts has opened a sales outlet and a well-equipped shipyard in Fano where “fine” and integral refitting as well as boat customizations also take place on behalf of Azimut.
The crisis of 2008 arrived, and while many realities, also important in the nautical industry, are forced to close or at any rate come out very downsized, the company administered by Luigi Gambelli manages to overcome the difficult moment by diversifying the activity, flanking the sale and refitting with a large panel of used boats and brokerage, signing partnerships around the world.
Meanwhile, the link with Azimut Benetti grows, which gives Gambelli the opportunity to take over the dealership in Germany and Austria: thus YachtWerk, a Munich-based company, is born. Now Timone Yachts has blown out its thirty candles: at its “birthday party” also Azimut Benetti’s vice president, Giovanna Vitelli, CEO, Marco Valle. One hundred of these days!
