We boarded the new Maserati Tridente on its first appearance on the water. It is an elegant ten-meter made by American Hodgdon Yachts, with Vita Power powertrain: top speed 40 knots.
Maserati Trident made its first water appearance on Lago Maggiore at the Boat Show at the Marina di Verbella, a preview of the yet-to-be-tested prototype. So no water testing and we couldn’t even peek into the engine compartment or below deck (we only know there is a convertible cabin and a small bathroom), but we were able to look at it and study it up close.
It certainly leaves with high ambitions, not only because of the prestige of the name, but also the announced performance: 25-knot cruising speed and 40 top speed. There are 600 hp in the engine room , with 252 kWh lithium batteries: all the powetrain is provided by British Vita Power. Charging time with a fast-charging column: one hour.
The lines are very elegant, “worked,” original. The boat is made (carbon deck fiberglass hull) by the American of Maine Hodgdon Yachts, a brand not yet well known here in our country, but with 200 years of history behind it, and currently specializing in tenders for super yachts.
