The walkaround fad no longer goes away, and Fjord presents its latest model: the new Fjord 480 arrives. What changes from previous models and why it is a new chapter for this kind of boat.
Fjord 480
The walkaround is always on the crest of a wave. But since the very first models, the more observant will have noticed, something has changed. The needs of the owner, first and foremost. Volumes and board space are the post-it notes in plain view on the designers’ worksheets. Woe to forget. And here the shape of the boats also evolves. Then, in this case, there is a design mix that should not be underestimated: very boxy Scandinavian style, German know-how, and the Italian flare with Marco Casali of Too Design studio curating the exterior and interior.
In terms of design, the vertical bow is matched by sharp, clean lines, sleeked by the central hard top, integrated with the windshield, under which we find both the wheelhouse with its respective seats and a large sofa facing aft.
The numbers of this walkaround
At 14.6 meters long, it has a remarkable maximum beam that exceeds 4.5 meters. Expanding the aft surface area of this walkaround are the two folding bulkheads. Enjoy the XL aft sundeck, platform seating and convenient water access in serenity. There is also no shortage of table and kitchen.

In the bow, however, a second sundeck is created on the upper surface of the deckhouse, safely accessible by proceeding along the walkways surrounding the console. In terms of interior volumes, however, different layouts will be available depending on the needs of the owner. A walkaround usually remains no stranger to the allure of speed, and the Fjord 480 is no exception. The standard version with two Volvo Penta IPS-700s will reach up to 40 knots with a tank capable of holding up to 1,500 liters. For water, the tank will be 350 liters.
