Fjord 53 XL is the ultimate walkaround according to Fjord. After the advent of the Ryck 280, the Hanse Group is now betting big on motor-powered boats with another craft on the way. It will be the largest and most luxurious boat ever made by Fjord and follows the success of the Fjord 41 XL, which set the record of 100 units sold in one year. This 53-footer is the last frontier of the walkaround according to Hanse and will have an estimated top speed of 34 knots. The base price is around 1,149,000 euros, VAT excluded.
Fjord 53 XL
The success of walkaround powerboats is simply unstoppable. In order to stand out in a market now brimming with options, boatyards have to follow new paths. The Fjord 53 XL, for example, takes the Fjord DNA to a whole new level. This type of powerboat is specially designed to enjoy long days at sea in total relaxation. This translates into the need for large spaces on deck, along with all the necessary for lunches, aperitifs and al fresco dining.
Fjord 53 XL – Deck
This is why the Fjord 53 XL features an extended cockpit with a fully-equipped galley on the deck and a sundeck with a tender compartment below. The helm station is designed to enhance the driving sensations for those at the helm. In addition to the three helm seats there are also three 19-inch plotters and three integrated cup holders. The cockpit can be fitted with a crew cabin.
This is the largest deck area ever designed by Fjord. The owner can choose between two configurations: two large galleys on either side that leave space for a large seating area and two tables for up to nine people. Or a U-shaped seating area and a table that folds down electrically to create a sunbathing area on the aft deck that can seat up to four people. Below the sundeck is a large locker that can be configured as a tender garage.
The entire cockpit is shaded by a T-top, the uprights of which are integrated into the bulwarks for better stability and easier movement on the deck. Two walkways lead forward to an additional large sundeck.
Fjord 53 XL – Interior
The hull windows of the Fjord 53 XL allow for natural light and a direct contact with the water below deck. The anchor system is completely hidden in the hull and can be extended automatically. Below deck, Fjord has created a cabin that in the standard version is used as a storage compartment accessible from the cockpit. At the same time it can be set up as a crew cabin, allowing absolute privacy for the owner and his guests. The cabin has a standing height in the entrance area and is equipped with a wardrobe, toilet, washbasin and window. An additional TV and C-zone monitor are available as an option. Thanks to their hull windows, the owner’s cabin, the owner’s head and the guest cabin are very bright.
The three interior layouts of the Fjord 53 XL
- The owner’s cabin and lobby form an open, loft-like space with a walk-in wardrobe and access to both the owner’s head and guest cabin
- For more privacy, the owner’s area can be separated from the guest one with an additional door
- Instead of a walk-in wardrobe, this option can have an additional head for the guest cabin, while the owner’s area retains exclusive access to the main bathroom
The owner can choose from a wide range of materials and customization options to better exploit the spaces on board. With the 3D configurator on the FJORD website, you can discover all the options available to create your custom-made Fjord 53 XL.
