Don’t be fooled by the name. These boats are called Fjord, but they are about as Mediterranean as you can get when you take to the sea. Indeed, it can be said that this shipyard, now part of the Hanse Group, was among the pioneers in the world of walkarounds, one of the most popular boat types in recent years.

Today in Italy this brand has a new representative: Mr. Blu led by Pietro Lucchese, CEO of the company, who has been in the yachting world for more than 40 years.

What boats are the Fjords

Let’s give a brief sketch of the Fjord-type walkaround. It starts with a large deck space with convivial areas fore and aft, a central console, and wide walkways for easy movement throughout the boat. They are also often equipped with a space below deck suitable both as a sheltered area during the day and to stay overnight on board and perhaps spend a weekend or more away. At the stern, motorization is usually customizable, with a choice of outboard or inboard as needed.

The Fjords in particular combine these “structural” features elements such as Nordic heritage (as the name easily suggests), the livability of Mediterranean boats, and the German engineering of the Hanse Group.

“We are happy to be present in Italy again with our boats ,” says Hanjo Runde, CEO of HanseYachts. – because Fjord has revolutionized the boating market over the years with its Walkarounds for which it has the paternity and primogeniture. A new boat concept, totally “Mediterranean” offering endless spaces to experience on board. We are particularly attached to Italy and happy with this new Italian dealership with Mr.Blu that will ensure the correct positioning and perception with our customers, guaranteeing excellent after-sales assistance.”

After-sales service is entrusted to a service partner who can assist customers throughout the country. In addition, the technical team is equipped with a mobile workshop that can reach any location in Italy or the Croatian coast within 24 hours for any more complex service needs.

The history of Mr.Blue starts back in 1984, and today with 40 years of experience, explains the CEO, Peter Lucchese, “we are able to help our shipowners in making the best choice for their yachting. We are not looking for customers, but shipowners to whom we want to offer high value-added products and services in a different way, which is why our payoff is Another Way in Yachting.”
