Redeemer floating bridge in Venice – Ingemar

The Redentore Floating Bridge in Venice (334 meters long, built in 2002) is just one of the applications of Ingemar ‘s floating structures in places other than ports and marinas. In fact, today the Italian company’s floating pontoons find their place not only in landings, but in various unusual and innovative contexts.

Floating docks for more modern and functional ports

In ports and marinas, floating docks are a -now well-known- flexible and sustainable solution, ideal for improving operations and increasing available berths. Some examples? The renovation of Marina del Cavallino, Porto di Albarella and Porto di Palau, where fixed structures have been replaced with more versatile floating docks. Similarly, marinas such as the Tuscan Archipelago and Capitana have expanded their capabilities through these installations, improving the experience for boaters.

Floating structures for innovative uses

Ingemar’s floating docks, however, are also increasingly chosen by hospitality facilities, public agencies and sports associations for multiple uses. These systems lend themselves to creating temporary or permanent solutions, such as event landings, heliports, sunbathing areas, beach clubs, and spaces for sports or commercial activities. Their flexibility and ease of removal also make them perfect for non-fixed installations. Hotel facilities that have chosen floating docks include the Grand Hotel Dino on Lake Maggiore and the Hilton Molino Stucky Hotel in Venice. These multifunctional spaces improve guest comfort and offer new areas that can be used for multiple purposes. The industrial sector also benefits from Ingemar technology: from supports for the M.O.S.E. system in Venice to commercial fishing boat facilities in Gallipoli, the applications are endless.

Eng. Sebastiano Pulina, Ingemar’s CEO, commented on the company’s new business prospects as follows, “These ‘non-traditional’ developments have further increased our usual commitments and have also entailed a major reorganization of internal resources, with the inclusion of new professional figures. Given the rapidly changing times and markets,” Pulina continued, “I believe that we could not have celebrated our important milestone of 45 years in business better and with greater satisfaction, and I am sure that these innovations will soon be joined by others, which are currently being studied and planned. Constant attention to the needs of each individual Client, resulting in answers of assured functionality and reliability is in our DNA. Thanks to high engineering capacity and new systems, we are now able to overcome the limits of the conventional and solve problems that, both dimensionally and functionally, were not even addressable a few years ago. We have many important projects under development, and we are confident that 2025 will be an even richer year of exciting achievements.”
