Ingemar continues its “journey on the water” embarked upon more than four decades ago with a focus on new safety requirements and social distances, but also with major new floating installations from the Mediterranean Sea to the Caribbean and a new logistics-production challenge in the Middle East region.

The results recorded by the Group in the last financial year were then more than comforting, with turnover and profit up slightly compared to 2018 and a significant share of investments allocated to the study and realization of new floating artifacts and research into innovative technical solutions for their assembly, storage and handling. In addition, significant resources and efforts have been devoted to addressing the health emergency.

The challenges of the future

For its new challenges, Ingemar has chosen to focus on two load-bearing aspects of its industrial process. First on the upgrading and implementation of the internal team and production spaces. The entire production process has been rationalized with the acquisition of new industrial space for production and storage of manufactured goods in relation to growing needs and in accordance with social distancing measures.

The company’s workforce has been strengthened with the addition of new professionals and structured to contribute remotely to various business processes in smart working; even in these months of restrictions, activities have continued without abrupt stops. Then on establishing new trade agreements for relocated production. A renewed impetus was given to production located abroad under exclusive licenses, which were useful in overcoming the difficulties of entering local markets and managing the large production volumes expected from the development of the areas concerned, but now more crucial than ever to avoid the barriers to entry of personnel and materials in times of Covid restrictions.

With this in mind, the license agreement signed in Oman with Khimji Ramdas Llc – a large Group with commercial and infrastructural activities – for the exclusive production and marketing of Ingemar products in the Sultanate, follows the one signed with Overseas Ast of Dubai – an industrial group of construction, infrastructure and maritime works in the United Arab Emirates – marked by the same principles of collaboration adopted to optimize time and cost of supplies while maintaining the high quality of Italian products. Thus to date Ingemar’s activities continue with some logistical slowdowns but no interruptions, and the most relevant projects are in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Middle East.
