Garmin Force Trolling
Garmin Force Trolling

We are at the Genoa Boat Show where we met Carlo Brevini from Garmin to hear about Force, the brushless engine (without brushes, that is, that does not need electrical contacts on the rotor shaft to operate: less mechanical resistance means more efficiency and less maintenance) that operates at 24 or 36 V and that emits, according to the manufacturer, 30% more power than existing motors.

Designed for fishing enthusiasts (but it can also be great for a small tender), it integrates a transducer for traditional Garmin CHIRP and Ultra High-Definition ClearVü and SideVü sonars.

It interfaces wirelessly with compatible Garmin chartplotters to operate in autopilot mode. The wireless control pedal can be powered by batteries or, via cable, directly to the on-board power supply. The portable and floating remote control is included and integrates a transflective and anti-reflective display screen. Find it here
