VarazzeD-Marin, a network that manages several marinas in Italy and around the World, is looking to extremely simplify the way boaters interact with marinas through its innovative app D-Marin – Premium Marinas.
Having recently expanded its presence in Italy with the acquisition of Porto Mirabello in the Gulf of La Spezia (407 berths from 12 to 140 meters), D-Marin has introduced this digital platform for its customers with annual contracts.
Available for both iOS and Android, the app aims to simplify berth management by offering a number of useful features to enhance the customer experience.
D-Marine – Key features of the app
The new app allows boaters to book, renew and pay for berths directly from their smartphones, eliminating the need to physically go to marina offices or call/send emails.
One of the main benefits is the ability to communicate directly with marina teams for any needs or questions, simplifying operations and reducing waiting time.
The app also includes a remote check-in feature, allowing mooring formalities to be completed in just a few clicks, streamlining operations for timeshare boat owners or charter companies.
Smart Pedestal and Remote Control
Perhaps the most innovative function introduced by D-Marin – Premium Marinas is the Smart Pedestal system, integrated into the app.
This feature allows for remote management of power and water supply for the boat, controlling and monitoring consumption in real time.
Boaters can thus optimize resources on board without having to be physically present at the marina.
The automation system not only simplifies the management of essential services, but also reduces consumption-related costs.
One of the most useful aspects of the app is also its real-time monitoring system, which provides boaters with increased safety for their vessel.
Thanks to a sensor kit provided free of charge to annual customers, crucial parameters such as battery level, temperature, bilge status, and boat location can be monitored.
These sensors send constant updates via the app, allowing prompt action to be taken if needed.
Events and promotions
Finally, the D-Marin – Premium Marinas app also offers other exclusive benefits for its users, including personalized notifications about special events, promotional offers and other news related to the ports in the D-Marin network.
This feature allows customers to stay up-to-date and make the most of the opportunities offered by each marina, making the experience even more engaging.
D-Marin’s Italian plans
Italian investments for D-Marin are not over.
As Regional Director Nicolò Caffo(whom we interviewed here) confirmed during a press conference at the Genoa Boat Show, the network is building a new marina in Livorno.
