Galeon Yachts, Polish shipyard, now among the world’s leading manufacturers, with more than 1,400 employees and a 36,000-square-meter factory, presented its new 440 Fly at boot Düsseldorf. Founded in 1982, Galeon consolidates its line of luxury yachts and powerboats with this new model. We went to see it for you.
Galeon 440 Fly
Born from the pencil of Tony Castro Design Studio, the new Galeon 440 Flybridge is instantly recognizable as it follows the trends set by the fourth generation of Galeon yachts. A combination given by a dynamic shape with sporty accents that combines with the large side windows, visible on both decks, and the extendable cockpit (beach mode) via fold-down broadside.
The 440 Fly focuses on providing the best possible experience for all passengers on board. With leisure areas on both decks that allow up to 14 people to enjoy the yacht at any given time.
Galeon 440 Fly – Exterior
The oversized flybridge upper deck features a helm station with a sofa to port for a co-pilot, while the main lounging area is immediately behind further aft. The L-shaped sofa wraps around the extended table in the upper dinette that comfortably seats six people. The main deck houses two separate lounging areas with the bow easily accessible from the starboard sliding doors next to the helm. Guests can choose to raise the folding bimini and seat back facing forward for added protection from sea splashes.
The cockpit allows boarding from all sides thanks to the full-size hydraulic stern platform and beach mode with semi-glazed panels. Retractable bulwarks extend the usable space during mooring (over 2 meters more). The bathing platform serves as an elevator for water toys and provides easy access to the aft-facing grill area.
Galeon 440 FLY – Interior
Inside we find a classic layout with the sleeping area set back, divided from the cockpit only by sliding glass doors. The galley and wheelhouse are moved to the bow with two or three staterooms located on the lower deck. In the two-cabin version, the accommodation below comfortably accommodates four passengers. Both the master cabin, amidships, and the VIP cabin, forward, offer significant volume and storage space. For larger groups, there is a choice of two different three-cabin layouts with bunk beds or twin cabins. Both lower bathrooms have overhead and standing-height showers.
