The Italian Sea Group launched in Marina di Carrara the first Admiral 72 hull of the new “Admiral Armani” superyacht series, the result of a collaboration with iconic designer Giorgio Armani.

In an exclusive ceremony held in Marina di Carrara, The Italian Sea Group and Giorgio Armani launched the new Admiral 72, the first of two megayachts entirely designed by iconic designer Giorgio Armani. The event was attended by the owner’s team, Armani Group representatives, a number of local officials and members of the Italian Sea Group team involved in the boat’s construction.

The project, begun in 2020 and personally developed by Giorgio Armani and his team in collaboration with the Admiral Style Center, interprets and merges the DNA of the two brands to create a unique, state-of-the-art megayacht, the result of the meeting of the excellence of the nautical and fashion worlds.

The Giorgio Armani superyacht

What strikes one about this futuristic megayacht is first and foremost the refined style that is immediately recognizable in both its exterior lines and refined interiors. Timeless minimalism, which has always belonged to the Italian designer’s creative philosophy, redefines the very essence of the concept of high-end megayachts in a radical and elegant way, based on the principles of essentiality and sophistication.

The design of the exterior is both rigorous and eye-catching: large, crisp, geometric volumes blend with more curvilinear, soft volumes in perfect balance, and the whole appears imposing yet dynamic. Thanks to large, full-height glazed openings, the effect, inside, is one of seamless immersion in light and surroundings, modulated by a clever interplay of sliding panels.

Satin aluminum and steel details were used to create shifting visual reflections on the golden exterior, while floor-to-ceiling windows connect interior spaces with sea views. The upper decks are arranged as open terraces, with spaces that include a lounge area and a helicopter landing zone.

Luxury interiors signed “Armani-Casa”

The interiors, designed by Armani-Casa, amplify Giorgio Armani’s aesthetic philosophy of understated, refined luxury and whispering tones. The décor is assertive yet relaxed, the overall harmony provided by the combination of elements skillfully fused into an unquestionably exclusive unicum. The apparent minimalism finds its counterpoint in the use of precious and sought-after materials, fine craft-derived finishes, and the skillful mix of soft or vibrant colors. Materials used include black Marquinia marble, golden Calacatta and Canaletto walnut, combined with mirrored surfaces, lighting and custom fabrics.

A unique project expression of Made in Italy

“This megayacht, the result of an exciting partnership of which I am extremely proud, represents a further confirmation of our ability to measure ourselves in unique and increasingly ambitious projects with brands of excellence “Made in Italy,” with which we share the same values – says Giovanni Costantino Founder & CEO of The Italian Sea Group – Giorgio Armani is synonymous with timeless elegance and refinement and his stylistic vision has contributed to further enhance our aesthetic sensibility. This new yacht is projected to be stylistic reference in its positioning and therefore confirms our business model oriented to the customization of every detail to make absolutely unique each of our works in feeling with the vision and desire of each owner.”

Giorgio Armani: “The sea and design my great passions.”

“The sea and design are two great passions of mine,” explains Giorgio Armani, Chairman and Sole Director of the Armani Group, “with this new collaboration I have extended to the nautical world my idea of furnishings, in which, as in fashion, aesthetics and function go in harmony uniting in a natural and elegant style. This is a very stimulating project that has allowed me to create customized environments with Armani/Casa, like tailored suits, with the same craftsmanship in the choice of materials and workmanship.”

The debut of the 72-meter superyacht Admiral Armani is scheduled for the Monaco Yacht Show 2025 to be held Sept. 24-27 in Port Hercule.
