Other news coming to the Cannes Yachting Festival 2019, 10-15 September (7 boat not to be missed). The Greenline 45 Fly will be presented as a world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival, expanding the shipyard’s ecological range, but this yacht has already hit the motorboat market hard with 25 confirmed orders. To get one you will have to wait at least until summer 2020.Â
When luxury is eco
A luxury boat with great freedom of costume design:
- diesel/electric
- electric
- hybrid
The combination of solar panels, an in-line electric motor and inverter/battery charger means that 230V AC is always available without the need for a noisy generator. At five knots you can sail for over 30 nautical miles without emissions, ideal for when you have to travel short distances or you are in port and you have to moor.
Comfort also on electric
The boat is equipped with standard appliances with refrigerator and freezer, induction hob, oven and AC sockets, so you do not need to use adapters. Each Greenline model is equipped with alternating current as standard (even in non-hybrid versions) and the technology is constantly working to keep the domestic power supply stable without having to use ground power or a generator.
The motorization
Volvo Penta and Yanmar engines are available and, as standard, the boat is equipped with a pair of diesel engines with 220 hp shaft drive, but up to 370 hp double engines are available for a maximum speed of 25 knots. For those who want higher performance and easy joystick control, Volvo Penta IPS500 (dual 380 hp) and IPS600 (dual 440 hp) are available, the latter capable of reaching 30 knots. The IPS shaft drive and hulls are built specifically for their transmission, ensuring optimum performance depending on the choice of propulsion chosen.
The exterior design and naval architecture were taken care of by J&J Design. Greenline 45 Fly has a sporty profile despite being in every way a cruise boat suitable for long stays at sea with family and friends. Between the sheltered cockpit, the forward deck with folding canopy for shade and the flybridge there is plenty of space on board. On board there are also interesting options such as the aft kitchen with barbecue and sink, and the hi-lo bathing platform are practical complements. In this area there is also a storage area dedicated to water games with the option of a hydraulic door to make access easy.
In the interiors, the partnership with Italian superyacht designer Marco Casali of Too Design has allowed to create an elegant and sophisticated air to the interiors full of natural light thanks to the free use of glass in the superstructure.
