We told you how in winter the fishing from the boat can be profitable, but our column dedicated to this passion will continue in the coming months, and as we approach the Dusseldorf Boot (May 17-25), one of the leading international boat shows, we are also going to talk about boats that are ideal for fishing.

Functional, sturdy, with dedicated spaces for stowing gear and clear work areas, every enthusiast has the boat of his or her dreams, but for a good fishing boat these features must be there.

For fishing and sport boat enthusiasts, the hall of greatest interest will also be Hall 3, where the Sport Fishing Center is also located, and where it will be possible to see boats dedicated to fishing and other novelties in the area of accessories and equipment. Let’s then go over some of the new things in store for us at the Boot.

Wellcraft 28 (8.56 m)

Wellcraft introduces three new 28-foot models designed to push the boundaries: the Wellcraft 28 Speedster, the Wellcraft 28 T-Top, and the Wellcraft 28 Explorer. All three share the same innovative hull, but each offers a different on-board experience, depending on the owner’s preference: sailing en plein air (with or without a T-Top) or seated in an enclosed helm station for longer cruises.

To calibrate the boat to your fishing needs, you can choose the “barracuda” layout, which gives the boat a completely different character: retractable seats, live and catch tank, bait drawers, and various rod holders transform the aft cockpit into a true fishing platform for the whole family. Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1095 Coupe S2 (10.5 m)

Merry Fisher 1095 s2

Let’s start with the premise that this boat, a reissue of a Jeanneau bestseller, is for all intents and purposes a cruiser, a fully equipped family vacation and weekend boat with 3 double cabins, a bathroom, and a very convenient outdoor kitchen.

The exterior spaces, however, thanks in part to some customization options, can be easily exploited during fishing action, with the possibility of having storage spaces for gear and even room to install a livewell aft. In addition, the convenient cockpit side openings, which are ideal for cruising, also come in very handy when fishing, especially when important prey has to be hauled in. DISCOVER THE BOAT

Boot Düsseldorf – Hurlo 325 Fish (3.25 m)

Hurlo 325

Debut line of the Besnati brand, which will present itself at Boot Dusseldorf with a very peculiar product. Let’s start with a basic concept: the Hurlo 325, which will be available in several versions, should be regarded as a technological tender, with a 170-horsepower Rotax inboard hydrojet engine, luxury.

The project is by Valerio Rivellini, a designer and engineer who conceived the Iceman, the 9.5-meter tender of Cantiere delle Marche’s Explorer 146 Maverick, and for collaborations with the likes of Evo Yachts, Cantiere Mimì and Italmarine shipyards.

The Hurlo 325 both in aesthetics and in some choices is reminiscent of the automotive world, the version that may be of most interest to fans of fishing from the boat is the Fish. This in fact has totally unobstructed spaces in the bow, a 360-degree rotating seat, and includes a customizable dual Garmin display. DISCOVER THE BOAT

3D Tender TR6 (6 m)

Let’s start by saying that 3D Marine is a shipyard that specializes in all sorts of inflatable boats: its range is practically endless, ranging from folding boats, to hard-keel boats, whether fiberglass or aluminum, to professional craft. Ta less than 3 meters to just over 6: a rarity these days to see such an extensive catalog of small boats!

TR6 is just the latest addition, and it is a 5.90-meter-long by 2.55-meter-long RIB, so it can be wheeled when inflated. The weight is less than 400 kg, so probably already with a 40 hp it would be able to satisfy most uses. But it is known that the 40 hp is an Italian peculiarity; therefore, 3D offers two packages with a slightly more powerful Suzuki engines: the 70 and the 100 hp, however, both of which can be carried with the new D1 license. The model is well suited for fishing because of the spaces in the stern, which can be left with minimal rigging if needed to increase the work area.

Boot Düsseldorf – Marine 450 Fish DLX (4.45 m)

Marine 450 Fish

We are completely changing boat styles because we are talking about a small boat explicitly designed for inland or coastal fishing. The Marine shipyard specializes in building small aluminum units, and the 450 Fish stands out for its minimalist styling, sturdy construction, and has the advantage of requiring almost no maintenance due to its essential and simple construction.

Unmissable is the swivel seat, aft and forward space is totally clear, and it can be equipped with a multi-screen console and other accessories to enrich the possibility of positioning equipment. DISCOVER THE BOAT
