Axopar presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival a new version of its 29-footer.
According to the shipyard itself, it officially represents their debut in center consoles.
The goal, more or less openly stated, is to attack the U.S. market, where this type of design holds sway.
In fact, it is literally a cross between the open version, Sun Top, and the cabin version, XC Cross Cabin.
Axopar 29 CCX
Center consoles are the queens of fishing boats: when sailing, the command post still remains sheltered from the elements, but on board it leaves more space than a cabin cruiser and a view that can span 360 degrees.
The version presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 is a hybrid, with a layout that Axopar itself calls “more social,” but in November they will launch a “full-on fishing” version : fishing without compromise.
The Axopar 29 CCX features (as standard) a large open aft deck, but the yard is pushing hard on modularity, as always.
This area can be fitted with an optional bench seat, wet bar structure, or aft cabin.
The first solution winks more at fishing while the others at conviviality. The fairing is the same as the other versions of theAxopar 29, as is the variety in deck fittings, which has always been Axopar’s strong point, as well as its low weight.
This results in cruising speeds between 25 and 32 knots, all speeds held with less than 2 liters per mile at sea trials.
With the 600-liter tank, therefore, the range miles are more than 300.
The stern has been specifically optimized to receive a pair of engines, a typical request of owners who want to get away from the coast as safely as possible.
How much does it cost
The price of the new Axopar 29 CCX has always been very aggressive; it remains in line with the rest of the Axopar range, starting at 66,500 euros, excluding VAT.
