Honda BF300 V8

The latest is called the Honda BF300, is a 60°, 5000cc V8 engine and weighs 350 kg. It retains all of Honda’s major available technologies such as ECOmo mode , a fuel management system that optimizes fuel economy at cruising speeds, VTEC technology, and BLAST for full torque even at low revs.

Features include:

  • Cruise control for comfortable navigation
  • Tilt Limit for mooring
  • Trim Support to correct engine trim while sailing automatically
  • Recessed electronic throttle with iST (Intelligent Shift and Throttle) system.
  • 5-button multifunction panel
  • 7-inch multifunction display with touch system for reading engine data

It is heir to the BF350, the most powerful outboard engine ever made by Honda. Since its launch in 2023, it has proven to be a functional and effective engine. This has enabled it to capture significant market shares despite the delay with which it was introduced compared to its main competitors in the same range. As logical, this technology and architecture is now being declined on a smaller outboard.

Honda’s new outboard: weight and price

The Honda BF300 is a 60°, 5000cc V8 engine and weighs 350 kg. We have not tested it yet, and after all, this engine will be available through the Honda Marine network starting in June 2025. But how much does it cost?

The official price list has not yet been released, but at the Honda booth in Düsseldorf we were told that it will cost about €2,000 less than the BF350 (price list here)..

The colors

Last point, aesthetics: this outboard is available in Silver Aquamarine color and the sporty Grand Prix White.
