Buying a used boat can be one of the best ways to be able to spend your time peacefully going to sea. First, however, you need to be able to find the perfect one for your needs, a task that can be more complicated than expected, especially if it is your first time dealing with the used market. To help you through the process, we have created a series of videos with “practical” tips for coping well with the decision.

Practical tips for dealing with the purchase negotiation

We have made a video guide especially for you so that we can help you in the choice and process, in short, a series of tips and tricks to make your life easier. In the previous articles, starting with the basics, we have addressed the issues related to
“the choice”
,
“the budget”
,
” the active search”
e
“the inspection of boats for sale”
. Now, having found the boat you want to buy, it becomes necessary to discuss prices. In the video below you will find all our suggestions regarding the purchase proposal.

Buying a used boat. How to deal with the purchase proposal

Once one has found a boat suitable for one’s needs that has also “passed” the inspection stage, one is almost there and will need to address the purchase proposal. Advice? Helping you with your notes and budget considerations (we talked about this here) update your list with costs for any work that came up during the visit.

At this point, as there is often a minimum amount of room to negotiate on price, calculate the work the boat in question needs, deduct it from the sale price, and make your offer. To delve more deeply into the steps, and perhaps even the shapes, watch our video, where we explain in more detail.

If the proposal is accepted, it moves on to the more bureaucratic stage. We discuss this in the next video. Follow the Motor Boats Youtube channel to make sure you don’t miss the next video. We will continue to explain each move in detail, helping you in your choice.
