The Invictus GT370S with 850 horsepower is the newest model unveiled by the Italian shipyard Invictus. This brand in just a few years has conquered admirers all over the world. The “made in Italy” footprint that emerges from these boats is very much appreciated and is the basis of success. But there is an American influence, also due to the recent birth of an American division. And so a new version is born: the first version of the Invictus GT370S motorized up to 850 horsepower with two outboard Yamaha 425 XTO, the most powerful of the Japanese manufacturer. In addition to this, other engines are being under test.
Invictus GT370S with outboard: power and elegance
Outboards’ versions are very popular in the United States. As often happens, then, what is popular in the U.S.A. sooner or later arrives here in the Mediterranean. The way of boating changes and yachtsmen change: the shipyards have the task of understanding the new needs.
The Invictus GT370S is one of Invictus’ most successful models and reflects the shipyard’s ability to evolve, as already demonstrated with the GT280S, presented at the last Cannes Yachting Festival in an outboard version, following the success of the inboard model. It should also be pointed out that the new outboard version of the Italian yard is aimed at new customers and certainly winks more at the US market, as also explained by the Invictus designer, Christian Grande.
In spite of this, the elegance of the yard’s boats is not lost, even though it is certainly a gritty vehicle.
Deck Layout: Invictus GT370S
The wheelhouse is equipped with three oversized seats for the comfort of the helmsperson and those with him. The folding side terrace stands out, obtained from the central part of the port side wall, which combines elegance and practicality with the boat. This solution also increases freedom of movement onboard. There is also a bar space integrated with the dashboard seats, which hides the kitchen with sink, refrigerator, icemaker, and dedicated cabinets.
The central part of the deck is developed around an extendible table, with a large “L”-shaped sofa with foldable aft backrest to transform the entire rear portion into a single padded sun deck. The “L” shaped sofa integrated into the starboard side is open on the left side to enjoy the sea by lowering the optional balcony.
No engine room and custom interior
Without inboard engines, it increases the space below deck, even if you have to renounce to the large stern platform. The interiors are, as per trademark, customizable and allow to have two large compartments below deck that can be configured according to how one wants them. The aft cabin has two beds that can be joined together to form a single bed, capable of accommodating three children or two adults. The forward space can be equipped with a third bed or, at the owner’s choice, with a side sofa combined with a coffee table, bar corner, and television.
