Invictus is making it big again. Along with the TT550, the upcoming Cannes boat show in September 2025 will see the debut of the Invictus ST550, a design by Christian Grande.
Cruise boat approach for those who want to spend a lot of time on board, inspired by the world of shuttles, but with a focus on aesthetics and lines typical of Invictus. You only have to look at it from the bow to recognize it, however, there is something different than usual. It is a model that truly propels the shipyard into the cruiser category.
Invictus ST550
A cruising boat is, first and foremost, a vessel where space is needed on board. The “S” in the name means just that. Space. Both on deck and below, livability on board is the shipyard’s main focus.
This model places a lot of emphasis on the forward area given also the height of the freeboard. Here a layout with a U-shaped settee and sundeck has been set up. Another interesting choice is the double glass window that, on the one hand, brings light below deck (the lower one) and, on the other hand, allows constant contact with the sea right in the forward cockpit. It is an interesting design choice that in the head recalls the superyacht world. Think of a yacht like the Jubilee. This use of “double glazing” greatly streamlines the impact of the profile, which, without it, would be a block of fiberglass.
Then, at the stern, we find aft terraces that expand the surface area of the cockpit and salon. Unlike many models on the market, they appear unobtrusive, another hallmark of Christian Grande.
Layout
The cockpit accommodates a large living area, which can be equipped with a refrigerator, sink, grill) and a dining area that can be converted into a two-meter long and deep sundeck. Aft there is a walkway flush with the cockpit while the swim platform can be lowered below the water level for the tender. The ST550 also features a 2.8-meter jet tender garage with a two-level opening: a full opening for launching the tender and a partial opening for access without disturbing relaxation on the sundeck. A retractable awning that hides in the superstructure provides shelter during the hottest hours, while a second awning installed on carbon uprights is taken advantage of in the bow.
In the middle of the boat is a salon with a customizable galley and wheelhouse area. The side windows can be opened electrically. The interior spaces on the main deck are naturally ventilated via a front flap that funnels air while sailing. In addition, the ST550 comes equipped with a powerful air conditioning system.
Interior
Below deck, Christian Grande has provided two cabins (Master and VIP) and two bathrooms: that of the Master, forward, is full beam while the one serving the second cabin also serves as a day toilet. Amidships, also below deck, is the living area, which, at the owner’s request, can be replaced with a third cabin and a galley. In the latter case, the standard galley present on the main deck will “disappear,” further expanding the living area.
Propulsion-wise, it will be powered by two IPS800s or, alternatively, two IPS950s.
