Italia Yachts is a name that in sailing, especially for racing enthusiasts, has a special place. Fast, maneuverable and recognizable. A boat from Italia Yachts stands out immediately. And in line with a trend in the nautical market, the shipyard, five years after the Vitulano family joined, has chosen to take this important step.
The first model is called IY 43 Veloce and the project made its debut at the Miami Boat Show 2023. Participation in one of America’s, and therefore the world’s, most important trade shows undoubtedly shows how strongly the brand believes in this new walkaround. The U.S., after all, already occupies about 28 percent of the Italia Yachts market, with significant growth projections in 2023 and 2024.
At the same time, this is also possible thanks to the new shipyard in Fano, in central Italy, where a site of more than 4,200 square meters is located, covering all production processes from the rolling of hulls in infusion to the finished product, ready to sail.
Italy Yachts 43 Veloce
Italian, but not only, walkaround brands in America are doing very well. The segment is now undoubtedly among the most crowded or at least among the most competitive. To make an impression you need an important mix of elements: performance is not enough, you also need livability, both on deck and below. This is the first strength that Italia Yachts 43 Veloce brings.
“We developed the model,” explains Sebastien Nolasco, GM of Italia Yachts. on a hybrid concept between a pure walkaround and a day cruiser, which is why the interior also has generous spaces. The lines in general recall those of the now established range of sailboats.”
Certainly, compared to the sail range this model encapsulates all the hottest trends of the moment. Already the fact of choosing a walkaround as the debut model is an important indication of the direction Italia Yachts wants to take, at least in this first phase. On board, before we go in to get a preview of her, we see both folding broadside and a remarkable propulsion offering: sterndrive, IPS or outboard, depending on the owner.
Italia Yachts 43 Veloce – Exterior
The hull focuses on a softness of line. The volume we will see below the deck has been lightened in terms of its profile with a mark that creates an overhang. In this way, the dead work is not a monolithic block, but is animated and more pleasing to the eye. The bow is designed to be high and thus protect the deck from water, tackle sea, but also increase the available space below deck at the bow. The hard-top with its curvy line, slims the silhouette of this walkaround. At the same time, it also provides shelter in navigation in both bad and good weather.
In terms of layout, the sofas leave the side walkway free, have movable backs and a center table that can be folded down to become one large sundeck. In the configuration with the open broadside, thanks to the unobstructed stern, especially in the outboard version, the walkable area increases and a lot.
In the bow, however, the Italia Yachts Design Team and the Skyron studio with which the exteriors were created focused on a 100% relaxation-focused deck by maximizing space below deck. On the inner side, therefore, the broadside is particularly low to the deck and thus designed to be enjoyed while the boat is stationary.
Italy Yachts 43 Veloce – Interior
Going below deck, this hull reveals a cruiser vocation. In terms of layout, there is a choice of a master cabin in the bow and one with twin beds in the stern, two cabins with double beds or the master cabin alone in the stern and a large living room in the bow.
Of course, each choice depends on what the needs are when you are on board. If you want a boat more geared toward social life in dayboat mode, an owner’s boat is more than sufficient. In case, however, you want to go on a short cruise with friends or family, two double cabins become necessary.
The interior concept was done with Studio Arbore & Partners and maintains the family feeling of Italia Yachts production interpreted with a modern elegance made of clean lines and light materials that are pleasing to the eye and to the touch.
Italy Yachts 43 Veloce – Propulsion
With Skyron, the Italia Yachts Design Team also designed the living work that is capable of making sailing fun in a speed range of 35 to 40 knots, whether inboard or outboard powered.

The base price of this Italia Yachts 43 Veloce is 645,000 euros, excluding VAT.
