A tribute to the companies and people who have made Barche a Motore great over these 35 years allowing it to be born, grow, and become great up to this historic anniversary. In these articles the great excellences of boating tell their stories and reveal their projects, making an important contribution to the knowledge of this world, which allows us all to go to sea, in all forms and contexts.

The 43 Veloce was the first motor model built by Italia Yachts. The range is expected to expand with five models by 2026: 35-43-46-57-65.

Italia Yachts, from bet to international reality

The Italian shipyard was born in the midst of an international financial storm in 2010, born as a gamble has become a winning reality.

Italia Yachts could be described as the shipyard you don’t expect; in fact, its birth was in 2010, at the height of the global financial storm, in a phase that was anything but easy for businesses. But what could have been just a comet became first a reality, then a shipyard of internationally recognized prestige that today, in addition to the sailing line dedicated to sport cruisers and racing boats, is also developing its range of motor boats. What Italia Yachts is today, we were told by its CEO, Daniele De Tullio, a top professional sailor and now also a manager, who revealed the brand’s present and future. “Italia Yachts, with more than 300 boats that ply the seas of five continents,” De Tullio began, “is today a well-established reality in the international sailing scene and on the launching pad on the motor scene. In its reference segment, it stands out not only for its sporting achievements but above all for its balance between style and performance: a clear, recognizable identity that has been able to transform itself into something iconic.”

Daniele De Tullio is the CEO of Italia Yachts and is leading the shipyard toward internationalization by focusing heavily on the motor range.

Our mission is to create style

Our mission has never been to chase trends, but to create style. Because anItalia Yachts must not look like any other. As Enzo Ferrari was fond of repeating, “It doesn’t have to be the most beautiful, probably the fastest, but certainly different from all the others,” Danielerecounts with a hint of pride. “The power sector represents a fundamental part of the future of Italia Yachts,” De Tullio continues, centering an important point of the present and future strategy, that dedicated to powerboats. “Suffice it to say that, on a global scale, about 80 percent of boating revenues come from powerboats. It was natural, therefore, to broaden our horizons: not to follow a trend, but to bring to the motor world the same philosophy that has made us recognizable in sailing,” he clarifies.

The italia Yachts walkaround offers voluminous interiors designed for those who want to spend the night out.

The boat was born together with its owner

And about the key models of motor production he tells us further, “For the Italian market the 35 Veloce is undoubtedly the most interesting model. It belongs to the segment with the highest number of sales in units and is perfectly suited to the typical sailing style of the Italian yachtsman. It is an accessible, practical boat, but capable of standing out thanks to the unmistakable Italia Yachts style. No buying sprees, but lots of personality. Instead, our most immediate highlight will be the 57 Veloce: the ultimate synthesis of design, Made in Italy craftsmanship, comfort and performance. A model that asks for no compromises, because it represents the pinnacle of the power philosophy signed by Italia Yachts,” he points out. Another point that the Italia Yachts CEO particularly cares about is the relationship with the client: “Buying anItalia Yachts is not a quick or standardized path. It cannot be: those who choose us do not do so by chance. The approach always starts with a question: what will be the experience the customer wants to have on board? Regatta, cruise, sail or motor: each choice influences the construction of the boat, which is born together with its owner. The goal is simple: not to deliver just any boat, but “his” Italia Yachts.

Livability, quality and performance. Italia Yachts’ walkaround is a concentrate of 100% “made in Italy” craftsmanship and style.

Our relationship with the customer never ends

From launching onward, the relationship is unbroken. In fact, we can say with a smile that we rarely don’t know where any of our boats are even though today they are scattered everywhere from the Caribbean to the Pacific. Every owner has direct contact with our after sales office, which is run by a dedicated engineer who coordinates reports and requests through a ticket system. We intervene directly or with the support of the Racing Team and the Power Team for the most complex cases. In short: our relationship with the customer never ends, it evolves along with their experience at sea,” he explains. And finally, a look at the future of the Power project: “It envisions a range of five models by 2026: 35-43-46-57-65. Just like sailboats, they will be characterized by quality, style and performance. An owner who chooses Italia Yachts must be able to find the same philosophy, regardless of whether he sails or sails with a motorboat. It is a path of continuity, but also of evolution, with new pages of history that the shipyard will continue to write.” And which we look forward to reading.
