new ice wildcard

What is the classic Mediterranean rib doing in front of an iceberg? From Sicilian arancini to icebergs, Sergio Davì and his New Jolly 38 Cabin’s journey continues, departing from Palermo and heading for New York, passing through the Atlantic Ocean. In the last few weeks Davì has passed the Faroe Islands and Iceland, and is now near Greenland.

HERE IS THE SERVICE ADVENTURE FROM DVI’

A rubber dinghy (standard) in the ice

The rubber dinghy (New Jolly Prince 38cc standard) and the engines (two Suzuki DF350A outboards) are now in the middle of the ice and the captain Sergio Davì, who is sailing alone, must keep his eyes open while sailing. The dinghy chosen differs from a standard dinghy only for the windscreen, added to better withstand the harsh weather and for the seats, so they were chosen those of Besenzoni.

LA ROTTA

An Atlantic route of about 7,000 nautical miles. Sergio Davì will sail in the cold seas between the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland and Canada, before arriving in the USA. For this reason he modified the Prince 38 with a “dome” windscreen that covers the wheelhouse making it dry and safe.
