Itama 55

Timeless. Among used boats Itama 55 is synonymous with great Italian yachting classics. And it is not only the navy blue hull and snow-white deck, common to all models, that make them instantly recognizable, but also that sporty and elegant line, which seems to have been created specifically to sail undaunted, riding the waves.

Today we look at the Itama 55, which is well represented on the used boat market. With a nearly 19-meter hull and 2 engines of 1100 horsepower each, performance and comfort are certainly not lacking. A “movie” yacht, as evidenced also by its use in a 2017 film starring Michael Keaton and Dylan O’Brien, the kind that is also a pleasure to watch sail. The Ferretti group, when it acquired the group, took care to make the entire range more comfortable and technologically advanced.

Used boats: Itama 55

The Itama Fiftyfive, while remaining true to the Itama philosophy, is a nineteen-footer that re-proposes in a modern key a model that has made history. A pure open in lines, without any superstructure or rollbar, it boasts a hull with strong marine qualities, capable of propelling it to 37 knots of top speed with two 1100-hp Man. Among the refinements are the antenna and radar, which are concealed in the cockpit, an automatically opening awning, a gangway that converts to a swim ladder, and a movable aft platform that plunges into the water.

Deck

The cockpit, in addition to the classic dinette in the aft section, has a kitchenette and a forward facing settee that integrates with a chaise-longue, so you can enjoy sailing along with the helmsman while lying comfortably. Then there is the aft sundeck, the side passage on the left.

Interior

Going below deck, the feeling of space is accentuated by the large open space in the saloon that includes the dinette and galley. There are three guest cabins, each with its own bathroom. The owner’s one, a true suite, occupies the entire forward area. Instead, a cabin at the far aft is reserved for sailors.

On the boat market, this yacht ranges between €500,000 and €700,000 depending on age and condition.
