Jostyck Mercury – Compatible with Verado range

Mercury Marine has unveiled a new joystick maneuvering system for controlling Verado series outboard engines. The system is designed specifically for single-engine boats that mount a Mercury Verado series outboard and allows precise control of acceleration and steering using only one hand.

Joystick = more precise control over the outboard

The new control system is all wrapped up in a joystick, with a totally buttonless design. Having a joystick to control the engine is very useful especially in some situations, such as during mooring and docking, where precision is needed to maneuver the boat at low speeds. The joystick also makes it possible to switch very quickly between forward and reverse gears, even with micro-movements, in total safety and in a more intuitive way than the classic throttle.

When it arrives and for which engines it will be available

The electric steering joystick will be available by mid-2024 in Europe and is compatible with Mercury Verado ‘s 250- and 300-hp V8, 350- and 400-hp V10, and 600-hp V12 engines. It can be paired with all multifunction displays with GPS compatible with Mercury SmartCraft Connect and also has an autopilot function. Once the course is set, you can operate the joystick to vary the direction by a range of 1° to 10°, with great precision.

This system is just the latest addition to Mercury Marine’s range of joysticks, which includes controls for single and multiple inboard and outboard engines, pods and bow thrusters.
