There is a new brand of inflatable boat ready to debut, and we will soon see it at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023, where it anticipates setting the new benchmark for sporty elegance and advanced onboard technology. It is Vulkan Marine, debuting the all-new K-Rib 9.5, an inflatable boat capable of encapsulating a mix of performance, design, functionality and high-tech.
Vulkan Marine K-Rib 9.5
At 9.5 meters long, the newcomer is the first in the range, as well as the first model equipped with the Kineton Yacht Management System, an innovative solution for controlling basic dinghy functionality capable of providing support, infotainment and integrated mobility systems for intelligent management of the vessel. All, on a wheelable, high-performance hull capable of reaching top speeds in excess of 40 knots.

Looking at the lines, the new 9.5 immediately emerges as an attractive inflatable boat with a sporty design and, at the same time, a strong elegance of its own, well balanced in volume thanks in part to a black hard top to protect the dashboard.
In terms of on-board space, starting from the stern, there is immediately a double sundeck whose forward continuation, equipped with a fold-down backrest, allows for both extended and split use, with the forward section becoming double seating to serve the helm station. Here, protected by the carbon hard top, the helm console offers all the latest navigation systems, while being ergonomic and user friendly. Finally, in the bow, an additional lounge area completes the spaces, with a sofa and a large sunbathing area.
Vulkan Marine K-Rib 9.5 – Kineton Yacht Management System
Added value of this Rib is definitely the Kineton Yacht Management System, which is a digital platform designed to offer owners maximum security, completely enhancing the entire user experience.
Kineton, in fact, a company specializing in the development and validation of software solutions, is also entering the nautical world with cutting-edge solutions starting with this specific strategic collaboration, which brings on board a system of advanced algorithms to monitor, while respecting privacy, all sensitive areas on board, observing the operating status of the boat and remotely managing all its subsystems.
Through a system installed on board, then, the KYMS will be able to acquire, through the NMEA200 network, data on the status of the vessel, including engines, GPS, radar, sounder, and anemometer, supporting the operator in maneuvering as in navigation. As a plus, there is finally no shortage of infotainment services, from streaming to live content.
Vulkan Marine K-Rib 9.5 – Performance and Motorization
Made with the use of advanced technologies, the K-Rib 9.5 is created by infusion lamination, a choice that, with the carbon hard top, ensures a reduction in overall board weights that is well matched to the water lines, thus enabling performance that is not inconsiderable. Thanks to a pair of 225-horsepower Mercury outboard engines, the 9.5 is in fact capable of reaching top speeds of more than 40 knots, holding between 20 and 30 at cruising speed. In terms of range, at cruising speed, the shipyard reports an average consumption of less than 2.5 liters per nautical mile.
