This year’s Boot Düsseldorf was packed with new products. Among several this one caught our attention and we climbed aboard for you. Kumbra 34 is a walkaround on the edge of the watercraft category, with sporty but still understated and refined lines. Her strength is her space management, which, taking advantage of a beam of a good 3.5 meters and a careful arrangement of the elements, gives the effect of an extra large deck.

The stylistic signature is a rounded bow that becomes practically upside down, with a broadside that descends to the stern, sleeking the entire profile of the boat. The layout is walkaround, with walkways reaching the forward sundeck, on the deckhouse above the cabin with separate bathroom.

The heart of the boat is precisely the cockpit, with its large island sundeck and dinette. Openable decks are also available, but with the profile of the bulwarks very low at the stern, there is no need for them. Both outboard and inboard are available, giving you a virtually endless beach.

Much more than just one model

Kumbra 34 starts at € 215,000, excluding vat and engines. The model we visited, with twin 300-hp Mercury Verado V8s, goes up to € 315,000.

For those who want even more space there is her big sister Kumbra 36. She comes in at 11 meters but shares the same hull, so she remains a watercraft, and takes advantage of those two additional feet to move the entire sunbed/sofa block aft, making the cockpit even more airy. Also available only on this model is a more extended hard-top with a high windshield, which improves protection of the convivial areas and gives the boat an even more aggressive look. With two Volvo Penta inboards, again 300 hp each, it costs €399,000.

Finally, a Kumbra 43 is on the way, with the same philosophy but promising an even more attractive price when compared to rivals in the fiercely competitive 43-foot walkaround range.

Born in 2022, Kumbra Yachts is a Spanish shipyard based in Bercellona, imported to Italy by Love Boat Servizi Nautici.
