The experience at sea is not just measured in nautical miles, but in the intensity of every moment experienced on board. This is the deep conviction of Kumbra, a Barcelona-based Spanish shipyard that, after three generations of riding the waves, has decided to raise its standards. Their motto, “From sailors to sailors,” is not just a slogan, but the philosophy that guides the design and construction of each boat.

A walkaround designed for life at sea

The Kumbra 36 is the shipyard’s ultimate expression of this vision. Born out of a need to enhance the boater’s experience, this walkaround powerboat (10.9 meters long overall, but with a hull length of 9.7) combines elegance and performance in a modern style suited to our Mediterranean. Higher and wider side passages ensure freedom of movement and safety in every maneuver.

Aft, the area is designed for more space, more comfort, and seamless access thanks to its flush-mounted design. Here, a U-shaped sofa for six to eight people easily converts to a sundeck, creating a versatile and multifunctional space; also of note is a practical and elegant gate designed to protect children and pets.

The element that immediately catches the eye is the hardtop; designed to be longer, wider and sturdier than the standard, this hardtop not only serves as a protection, but becomes a real design feature of the Kumbra 36. The very wide windshield provides very good visibility for those seated in the helm seat, consequently also improving safety and boating pleasure; the opening in the hardtop at its top allows fresh air and natural light to enter, improving comfort on board and transforming the cockpit into a kind of “sea spider.”

On the Kumbra 36, attention to detail has been strongly sought after by the shipyard and is reflected in every component: high-end materials and premium finishes are standard on board.

Below deck, versatile interior spaces maximize liveability: a convertible double bed has been placed forward, flanked by two spacious single berths aft. A freestanding private bathroom, essential for comfort on board, completes the space. The speedboat is powered by two engines, a choice of inboard or outboard, with a maximum power output of 800 hp.
