With classic lines but technological content… the Fratelli Aprea shipyard, after launching the 52′ two seasons ago, this year presented the new Lancia Aprea 42. The philosophy is the same, those of the fascinating Sorrento lances of the 1950s revisited in a modern key.
The result is a boat (a watercraft, 9.99 homologation to 12.44 overall) that is elegant, harking back to the Italian craftsmanship tradition in boat making but at the same time is performant (32 knots top speed) and fun to pilot.
We tested it in the Gold Edition version with two IPS 500s in the engine room. It is also available in the axle line, and next year it will also come with outboards: three 425 Verado V10s from Mercury.
The shipyard is undergoing a period of great expansion with the opening of a new facility at marina di Stabia and the planned launch, for the coming seasons, of the 72′ and 32′.
