Magonis Wave e-550: motorization
A Mediterranean boat that comes from a shipyard based in Barcelona and production site in Sabaudia. Catalan style in design and Italian savoir-faire are the two strengths the shipyard says it will focus on. The boat is 5.50 meters long and 1.98 meters wide. We saw her in dock in Venice (unfortunately, we did not try her due to a timing issue), and watching her sail past, it is likely that the trim still needs to be refined, not least because what she was sailing was the first model ever. In any case, the interest generated by this boat is so much.
With the basic motorization (4 kW) the boat reaches a maximum speed of 5 knots making it suitable for use mainly in urban canals. The price in this case is 33,485 euros including VAT. Already more suitable for recreation is the Magonis Wave e-550 with the Torqeedo Cruise 10.0 RL for sailing on lakes and sea. With a power output of 10 kWh it reaches up to 9 knots. The price in this case starts at 43,420 euros including VAT.
In addition to Torqeedo Magonis can install the new Mag Power 18.0 and 30.0, of 18 and 30 kW, respectively. The former (with a power output of about 40 hp) provides the aforementioned speed of 16 knots, the latter a peak speed of 22 knots.
