Marex Boats, a renowned Norwegian shipyard with more than 50 years of experience, presents the Marex 390, a boat designed for family cruising. This new model joins the Scandinavia range, flanking the 330 and 440 models and confirming Marex’s tradition of reliability, robustness and practicality.

Marex 390

The Marex 390 is based on the proven experience of four generations of boats of this size, developed through feedback from owners. The new hull, featuring a variable-V design, is designed for stability, efficiency, and performance. The aesthetic update is particularly striking: long, sinuous windows outline a sporty, dynamic profile, signaling an evolution from the yard’s already highly successful flagship 440.

Scandinavian practicality

True to Marex’s unmistakable style, there is no shortage of practical and innovative solutions in this model as well. A walkway at the bow, concealed and integrated into the deck, facilitates boarding and disembarking operations. The sundeck, which doubles as a float for leisure moments on the water, is combined with the adjustable backrest, offering the possibility of transforming it into a chaise longue. The Smart Canopy System, now a Marex trademark, allows the side curtains and two sliding roofs to be opened quickly, adapting the canopy to weather conditions. On the roof, the photovoltaic system provides power for the refrigerator and lights to improve autonomy while sailing.

The deck layout

In the cockpit, a U-shaped settee extends to incorporate an additional seat to starboard, allowing up to eight people to be seated comfortably around the table. The same layout is replicated inside the salon, where it can be converted to forward-facing seating if necessary. A transparent sliding door helps to naturally illuminate the cockpit and facilitates docking, projecting the salon directly out to sea. The galley, while maintaining compact dimensions, is fully equipped with a cooktop, sink, double refrigerator, freezer and an optional oven.

Cabin livability

The area below deck is designed for maximum comfort. We find only two cabins, but they turn out to be very large and have generous double beds. The midship cabin also offers a sofa that can be used as a seating area or converted into extra space for the little ones to rest. The bathroom is single and shared, but is very spacious with a large separate shower.

Motorizations

Marex 390 is available with single or twin inboards, and shaftline motorization is coming soon to meet all operational needs. The large capacity of the fuel and water tanks, combined with the well-organized space below deck, makes this boat particularly suitable for long cruises.
