It’s not brand new, but a version with a redesigned deckhouse to make the Marlin Boat 33 even more usable: here’s the Marlin Boat 33 Weekender, the cruising companion approved as a vessel (approved length 9.30 m).

Marlin 33 Weekender

Compared to the standard version, this layout of the Marlin 33 has been named Weekender precisely because, thanks to the redesigned deckhouse, space has been created below deck to have a cabin height of 1.85 meters, a separate toilet room (the standard version offers a marine toilet hidden in a seat), and a proper double bed.

The furnishings on this cruising version are also less spartan than on the standard version; light below deck penetrates naturally through side windows equipped with opening portholes to ventilate and cool the environment.

On theoutside, however, the main difference can be seen by looking at the deck, which is obviously raised on the Weekender. With prolonged use of the boat in mind, the aft area has also been revised with usability in mind. The walkways run almost the entire perimeter and are wider to facilitate passage without stepping on the cushions. The aft living area houses a fold-down teak table, which becomes an extension for the sundeck if needed; the bar cabinet, set behind the helm station, remains unchanged. The area is shaded by a T-Top supported by a revised stainless steel trellis design.

The hull lines remain the deep-V lines, unchanged from the standard version. A very reliable hull that we had you can read our test by clicking here.
