The electric market is also becoming central to the boating industry, with several manufacturers presenting or in the process of presenting their ideas to address the Green transition. The starting point was smaller boats, but it is common now to see novelties trying to win space even in the segments of larger vessels. For example. Max Power presented his New line of thrusters and maneuvering propellers for 48 V electrical systems.

Max Power – The New 48V Propellers

Until recently, most boats, both electric and non-electric, had a 24 V battery pack on board; today, however, a doubled, 48 V battery pack is almost more frequently found. This is because the energy required for a variety of uses on board is greater today than it used to be, and meanwhile batteries are getting smaller, lighter and cheaper.
Max Power, a company founded in France in 1987 but which moved its entire production chain to Monza in 2011, thought to adapt some of the best-selling products in its range to this change. Tunnel thrusters and maneuvering propellers
CT 125
,
CT 300
,
CT 325
and the retractable model
VIP150 Electric
, have been made suitable for use with more powerful 48 V on-board batteries. The new models allow boat owners with 48V on-board batteries to save space and cost, while also having to use less wiring for installation.
