You are increasingly on the Medplastic Team Facebook group, the “social” space we wanted to create as part of our Medplastic project. Most importantly, judging from the photos you sent us, you are not afraid to get your hands dirty! This was exactly the spirit of the initiative. Create a community of “activist sailors” who would care for our plastic-ravaged sea! Keep up the good work!
Here are who are some of the “plastic hunters” who have become honorary Medplastic ambassadors!
Great Alessandro Cabras, who has been busy cleaning the beach in Localita’ Is Pruinis, Sant’Antioco (South Sardinia)!
Bravo also to Luca Buono, aka Goodfishes Recyclingart who writes, “Cala Moreto beach (Capraia) cleaned…all the rest is Goodfishes.”
Max Cantatore, from Arenzano (Genoa): “Let’s go ashore for a swim: this is the catch of the ride.” Thank you Max!
So Mario Spacagna, from off Salerno: “Catch of the Day. No to plastic in the sea.” Very good Mario!
Here is a nice underwater report from Sardinia, by Tommaso Oriani.
“Clean sea!?!!” wonders Annabella Mineo in Ortigia (Syracuse).
In Marina di Modica (Ragusa), aboard Blue Stream, Dave Webster shows off his first “plastic” catch! Bravissimo!
A good catch, also in Marina di Modica, was made by Timothy-Lucie Smith.
Alessandra Tixi of Outdoor Portofino reports her fishing: “June 26, 2018 Bay of Paraggi, Portofino.” Thank you!!!
