What if the most talked-about car in recent years went into the water as a “boat”?
We are talking about the Tesla Cybertruck and Tesla founder Elon Musk’s statements to make his electric pickup an amphibious vehicle. All it would take is a preparation kit, in fact, to make the Cybertruck capable of navigating a hundred meters over water. Further information about this option has not yet been revealed, nor is its price or mode of use known.
Tesla cybertruck almost becomes a boat
The real Tesla-powered boat does not yet exist. We often heard the term “tesla of the sea,” but it was more of an association between the most famous electric car brand and the marine world, where innovation always comes a little late, to make the point that the vessel in question used electric motors.
Elon Musk’s statement on X (ex-Twitter) here:
This is despite the fact that there are also virtuous and cutting-edge examples in the recreational sector. Imagine a car that reduces friction with a futuristic solution and thus consumes less fuel while significantly increasing range. We probably would not hear of a “Spark Plug on the Road.” For those who do not know, Candela is the brand that develops 100% electric “foiling” motorboats.
When the Tesla Cybertruck became a catamaran.
This new feature on the Cybertruck is reminiscent of the Cybercat, i.e., Tesla’ s multihull pickup truck for all occasions somewhere between an aquatic and land-based Transformer. The Cybercatamaran team, even, has developed an entire FAQs section (clickhere) to answer all the main (and legitimate) questions people have around the project.
