ZF16F Furuno

Furuno has just unveiled the new NavNet TZtouch 3 multi-function display, which is ideal for boat fishermen. Among the goodies in the new version of this multifunction NavNet is the new feature that allows you to record any kind of catch and have all the information about the fish, including a photo of them. Catches can be recorded using the TZ First Mate App and can also be saved using the TZT2 in V7.

Furuno NavNet TZtouch 3: what the new multi-function looks like

If you are looking for a full-featured multi-function for your boat, usable in all conditions and with virtually instant response time thanks to a more powerful Quad Core processor. This new series has displays of three different sizes created for the purpose of adapting to all styles of navigation: TZT12F, TZT16F and TZT19F.

  • The TZT12F is a 12″ IPS Hybrid Touch display with built-in GPS and TruEcho CHIRP module. When there are big seas on small boats and waves wet the screen, using the touch-screen becomes difficult. Furuno has equipped the TZtouch 3 12″ MFD version with a Hybrid Touch, which allows the touch screen function to be integrated with a keypad equipped with a RotoKey, cursor and integrated buttons so that the MFD can be operated at all times.

  • The TZT16F and TZT19F are 16- and 19-inch, full HD, fully touch displays, respectively, that offer ultra-clear images from any angle. With the TZT16F and TZT19F, it is possible to display, in one of the four windows, the image from a third device (such as, for example, a PC running the Timezero program) using the incoming HDMI port.

Each Furuno NavNet TZtouch 3 includes an integrated 1 kW TruEcho CHIRP echosounder (the equivalent of the DFF1-UHD Black Box Echosounder 1 kW). If that’s not enough for your boat, Furuno has designed a 2kW/3kW high-power DI-FFAMP amplifier that connects directly with the internal TruEcho Chirp sounder and allows you to see even in the deepest waters by connecting a 5kW or 10kW transducer with the BT-5 module.

The new version of the TZT3 firmware introduces the use of a new system to manage and synchronize “user objects” in the cloud. This term stands for all the particular useful items for boat fishermen or even those who simply navigate: tracks, waypoints, routes, etc.

The new version of TZT3 firmware enables synchronization of user objects between TZT3 or TZT2 V7 with TZ Navigator, TZ Professional and TZ iBoat V4 (iPad application) software. Synchronization of user objects occurs instantaneously through Wifi connections.

Furuno’s NavNet TZtouch 3 will be compatible with third-party marine applications, which will be controllable from the MFD display on the main screen or one of the four portions of the screen. Examples of third-party applications are: Lumishore, Skymate, Maretron, Seakeeper and others. Additional applications can be added in the future without the need to wait for a new firmware release, as it will be sufficient to install a new configuration file from the service menu.
