Boot Dusseldorf 2025 (Jan. 19-26) is expected to see the arrival of a new addition from Beneteau. The French giant is putting its hand back on one of the pivotal models of this historic range by going to modernize it with elements inspired by its big sisters Antares 11 and 12, giving it a more contemporary and elegant line.
This is what Beneteau‘s new Antares 9, an 8.33 m long by 2.99 m wide weekender, looks like.
Beneteau Antares 9
What’s new about the new vessel si Beneteau? On the outside, the design renewal was achieved by completely revising the windows, now gathered into a single, long, continuous profile. At the same time, the canopy of the superstructure has also been extended towards the stern. In this way it goes to shelter the whole cockpit slimming the line of this pilot boat.
Otherwise, the deck organization remains virtually unchanged, continuing to take advantage of the clever volume arrangement that has always distinguished the Antares series: sundeck on the deckhouse forward, reached by wide walkways, L-shaped sofa with mountable table aft.
The cabins of the new Beneteau
But it is in the interior that the restyling shows the most decisive intervention. Although the division of rooms is the same, with dining area and galley inside behind the wheelhouse, master cabin with queen-size bed in the bow, a second berth amidships, and a bathroom with shower for shared use, there is an air of newness. The rooms are airy, more elegant and modern, the design more sophisticated, with contrasting color combinations and cleaner lines.
The maximum engine, outboard, is 500 hp, and the tank gives a range of 130 miles at cruising speed. Special attention has been given to safety and comfort, essential features especially for a boat that aims to be used with family and friends, for day trips or small weekend cruises.
