Torqeedo Deep Blue
Deep Blue – Torqeedo’s new 80 kWh battery.

The Deep Blue range of batteries from
Torqeedo
has received a very important update. In fact, the new lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery packs are able to provide twice the energy storage of the previous generation. Until a few years ago, lithium-iron-phosphate batteries took up too much space and were not suitable for marine use. Today, on the other hand, thanks to the cell-to-pack architecture that optimizes the footprint, the use of LFP batteries is far preferred in both automotive and marine applications, partly because they are made from abundant raw materials that reduce costs and environmental impact. The new Torqeedo Deep Blue batteries have a capacity of as much as 80 kWh and effectively double the range and uptime of the motors on which the old generation batteries were mounted. These new batteries are covered by Torqeedo’s ten-year warranty for both recreational and commercial use.
