Nimbus officially enters the Explorer segment by introducing the new Nimbus 465 Coupe, a 15-metervoyager” designed to encourage large-scale cruising, accommodating on board even for weeks, wherever you want to go. Significant engines, remarkable range and ample space thus characterize this new model, reflecting well its adventurous yet comfortable spirit. A combination that grows in attraction and that the Scandinavian manufacturer knows how to interpret, precisely, with the 465 Coupe.

Nimbus 465 Coupe

Described as a “small island” by the shipyard itself, the 465 Coupe is a compact boat designed both to enjoy its archipelagos and regions and to venture far from home in comfort and safety. Indeed, on board they find plenty of attention to comfort and safety, with well-designed living areas and well-stocked sleeping areas that can be configured to sleep as many as 6. Options that, in general, can still move even beyond the standard, as Joacim Gustavsson( the yard’schief designer ) points out, to fully satisfy each individual owner.

Nimbus 465 Coupe – Exterior

Starting with the lines, the 465 Coupe results in a voluminous but well-balanced design, where each element finds its balance in the whole, giving the hull a clean and light look, qualities that are then also reflected on board, where the volumes given to the hull prove more than appreciable, providing comfortable spaces.

The first element to accommodate is the aft platform, which is not only useful as a beach area or relaxation zone, but also as a submersible platform and tenderlift. A true multi-purpose area that is very useful both while sailing and stopped at anchorage. Just beyond, protected by a hard top, the cockpit accommodates an L-shaped sofa and a large central table, offering a first outdoor convivial area that can be closed by an integrated system of translating windows-a solution that, consequently, greatly enlarges the salon. From here, continue to the bow through the broadside walkways or, to the fly and saloon.

As for the flybridge, equipped with a bimini that can be opened to protect from sun or rain, spaces consist of an L-shaped aft sofa with table, a large sundeck, to starboard, and the exterior helm station to port, complete with two wraparound seats. In the bow, on the other hand, to conclude the outdoor spaces, there is a sundeck served by a table and, when needed, a bimini pole system for shade.

Nimbus 465 Coupe – Interior

Shifting our attention indoors, on the main deck we immediately encounter a large open plan salon complete with galley, living area and wheelhouse. This space is identifiable as the hub of daytime life on board and is made especially bright by the large wall and ceiling windows. Starting from the stern, in fact, there is a full galley to starboard, and just beyond, a large sofa with table and seating occupies the center of the boat. The wheelhouse, access to the lower deck and an additional L-shaped sofa then take their place in the bow.

On the lower deck, the sleeping area is developed, consisting of 2 or 3 double cabins and two full bathrooms. In the 2-cabin variant, there is a study with desk and furniture in the third, otherwise replaced by a cabin with bunk beds. Unchanged are the two doubles, respectively in the bow, the guest one and, amidships and full beam, the master one, complete with furniture, storage space and a sofa.

Propulsion

In terms of propulsion, the new 465 Coupe offers a pair of Volvo Penta Pods, 480-horsepower IPS650 D6, served by 1,700 liters of fuel tank, thus providing the range needed for the cruising for which the hull is designed. In terms of speed, peaks are reached at 27 knots maximum, while cruising is intended on 20 / 24 knots speed.
