Nordkapp 830 Enduro: the Scandinavian fun boat – Price

Nordkapp 830 Enduro is the “modern” interpretation of the classic open boat according to the Scandinavian yard: 8.30 meters, center console, decidedly sporty look and a well-integrated T-top that makes it look more like a small cruiser than a simple open. It is designed for those who want a boat they can use often, in many different situations, without sacrificing either performance or livability on board.

The key word is versatility: it is basically four boats in one. In the “Classic” is a pure open, with the cockpit completely free and the bow all sundeck. With sprayhood and awning it becomes the “Adventurer“, more sheltered for outings in variable weather. The T-top transforms the atmosphere on board in the style of “Riviera“, covering the cockpit and aft dinette; adding a full canopy and, if desired, the heater, switches to the “Explorer“, a true Scandinavian all-weather cruiser. All without sacrificing a very Mediterranean deck layout, with a large bow sundeck, aft lounge with wet bar, table and the possibility of conversion to a 2 x 2.6-meter maxi aft sundeck, plus extended aft swim and boarding platforms. In addition, the pontooned bow manages to give volume for a forward cabin with separate windowed bathroom, not bad on this size.

Performance

At the helm, the 830 Enduro aims to give that sporty SUV feel: elevated driving position, cushioned seating, all-around visibility and an 8-meter V-shaped hull designed to be responsive but predictable even at high speeds. A wide range of engines are available, ranging from the basic 300 hp Mercury V8 to the 350/400 hp V10s, as well as the new 425, or the dual-engine 2×200 up to the 2×250 hp, for those who want the security of multi-engine and extract every knot this package can give.

But let’s talk about prices, where it gets interesting.

From list, Nordkapp 830 Enduro starts at €127,000, including a single 300 hp Mercury engine, excluding VAT and transportation. In itself, a price in line with the market, but what is special, almost unique, is that, on Nordkapp’s website, a configurator is available complete with every optional extra.

In true automotive style, you choose the motorization, then a series of ready-made packages, to which you can add any kind of accessory you can think of, from the wireless smartphone charger (€170, if you were wondering) to the Mercury Joystick with bow thruster (to the tune of €21,200)!

Each has its price clearly visible and easily consulted on the “Built your boat” section of the website. Certainly, for a “true, finished” price it is always a good idea to contact the Italian dealer, M3 Nautical Services, which can be reached at this link. But it’s a great start to at least get an idea of the reference figure and, more importantly, how much all the accessory equipment weighs against the base price, which is often difficult to calculate.
