Thruster Quick

The Quick Group, the world’s leading manufacturer of advanced systems for yachts and superyachts, announced at the Miami International Boat Show 2025 a strategic partnership with the Mercury Marine brand. This collaboration features the Quick Nautical Equipment brand (the founding brand of the Group) and the American engine giant part of the Brunswick Group, specifically with its control systems.

The integration between Quick and Mercury Marine systems.

The Italian company has developed a system to integrate its wide range of maneuvering propellers with Mercury’s highly convenient Joystick Piloting system from Mercury for single or multiple installations to provide greater safety in maneuvering for those at the helm.

At the heart of this partnership is a specially developed module from Nautical Equipment that enables seamless integration between Proportional Control Systems( PCS ) and Mercury protocols. This means that thrusters can be controlled directly through Mercury maneuvering joysticks. This integration enables much more precise control of the boat, creating an intuitive, highly efficient, but above all, very accurate user interface.

The integration of Quick and Mercury significantly improves the precision and control of the boat when maneuvering at low speeds. This upgrade is particularly relevant for operations in harbor or confined spaces, where precision is critical and the ability to maneuver with a joystick is much more convenient and intuitive.

A particularly interesting aspect of this solution is its flexibility. The system can be had not only on new Quick maneuvering propeller installations, but also as an upgrade on existing Quick systems, provided the PCS system is already in place or is installed concurrently.
