Navigate at 85 knots with a rib of almost 14 meters that can also be used for longer cruises? If you love adrenaline here is something that is definitely for you. We are talking about the Omega 45, one of the innovations of the summer presented during the autumn boat show by the Greek shipyard Technohull.

This rib is the flagship of Technohull and is born as a tender for mega yachts or as a chase boat. Under the mask of the mega tender Omega 45 hides much more and the strength of this rib is in the versatility that makes it suitable for a multiplicity of uses such as a weekend off or a longer cruise. Where can you go? It depends on what engine you want, but the answer is everywhere, also because this inflatable boat is designed to face extreme weather conditions in complete safety even with several people on board. And with a “special” group of engines, which we will discuss later,  you can reach 85 knots.

Omega 45 technology

Let’s take a closer look at the characteristics that make this inflatable boat with “purebred” performances ideal for cruising. In this model, the Omega 45, all Technohull DynaStream technology is condensed: thanks to sophisticated software and algorithms, the hydrodynamic profile has been optimized with a deep V-angle and a stellar design, without losing in terms of stability. The result is a safe and soft boat in navigation, but able to give considerable adrenaline to the owner, neophyte or expert.

When speed goes hand in hand with comfort

A mega-tender that winks at the cruise certainly can not forget the comfort: the layout of this Technohull has a modern central console covered by a T-top. Technology is another essential component with a state-of-the-art dashboard equipped with a touch screen display that makes the control of Omega 45 really easy. Due to this design it is also possible to insert even a closed bathroom.

Under the wide sun-deck the storage space is really wide and behind the dashboard, the layout is 100% thought for life on board with the rest of the people on board. After a day whizzing through the most beautiful bays, what’s better than getting comfortable at sunset on a sofa in the stern to enjoy an aperitif? In fact, the layout of Omega 45 is designed precisely in this context, with ” C sofa” that crosses the entire width of the rib with a central table. At the owner’s discretion, another sofa or a mobile kitchen can be added.

The engine is “customizable”: from 900 up to 1600 horses

What do we mean by “customizable” engines? You can choose from a wide range of engines starting from the triple 300, 350 or 400 horsepower engine. For those who live on adrenaline and excitement, the shipyard provides a fourfold 400 engine (1600 horses total!) That allows this rib to fly at the extraordinary speed of 85 knots. It is also possible to equip the Omega 45 with an inboard diesel, making it ideal for long cruises that do not sacrifice comfort and pleasure.
