DAZN will broadcastUIM E1 2025, the world championship of “flying” electric boats, free of charge for the next three years. The streaming platform will provide global coverage of the races, confirming its partnership with the pioneering electric boat racing championship with a multi-year agreement. For fans, enthusiasts, or the merely curious, it is an opportunity to get a closer look at the innovative RaceBirds, the foiling electric superboats already featured in the 2024 World Championship, and their teams chaired by sports and entertainment personalities.

The broadcasting agreement

The new partnership between DAZN and the UIM E1 World Championship will make various content dedicated to the competition available for free streaming on a global scale:

– Exclusive behind-the-scenes content with interviews with teams and their owners

The new 2025 season started last Jan. 22 from Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) and will touch iconic locations including Doha (Feb. 22), Monaco ( July 19), Como (Aug. 23) and Miami (Nov. 8) plus two additional dates yet to be announced.

RaceBirds under the lens

The racing boats featured in the UIM E1 Series championship, founded by Alejandro Agag and Rodi Basso, are the RaceBirds, racing boats with very interesting features in whose development there is also a (nice) bit of Italy. The RaceBirds’ design, with retractable foils, allows these boats to “fly” on the water, reducing friction by up to 40 percent compared to traditional hulls.
