Maxi hard-top Opac

“Made in Italy” in boating is not just about boats, but also about everything that makes up boats. Technology available to create state-of-the-art boats in all respects. One example is maxi hard-top designed by Opac(click here ) for the new Sanlorenzo SX112, the new flagship of the SX line.

Maxi hard-top of the new Sanlorenzo SX112

The Sanlorenzo shipyard unveiled a world premiere at the latest Genoa Boat Show of the new flagship of the SX crossover line, the SX112 yacht. This hard-top designed and manufactured by Opac is nearly four meters long and over three meters wide, and the canopy consists of 15 aluminum slats that rotate to allow the desired amount of light to pass through. It is then equipped with an integrated system of gaskets and conduits that provide maximum sealing from water and air when the hard-top is closed.

Opac’s hard-top is also available in a glazed version, i.e., with aluminum slats and frame and tempered glass cladding so that natural light can filter through and illuminate the area below even in the closed position.

Multifunctional hard-top Opac

The further development of the hard-top installed on the Sanlorenzo bears the name of the Multifunctional hard-top. In this version, the opening is managed with a twofold movement: the first, fan-shaped, allows upward lifting of the slats; the second consists of an aftward translation of the slats themselves, which are “packed” into the rest position, leaving the deck below open. The top can be opened completely or only partially, depending on the owner’s needs. Turning, opening, and closing operations take place in a very short time.

Thanks to these solutions, the upper decks of yachts can enjoy the desired brightness, modulating it according to needs and requirements.

Opac’s custom canopies

Opac’s canopies (but not only) are adaptable to the specific needs of boatyards and yacht designers in terms of size and choice of materials. Thanks to a significant technological background and craftsmanship skills with long experience, Opac is now a company of great flexibility, able to give real-time answers to every market demand.

A reality, above all, that is constantly evolving: the first products for the nautical sector were born from 20 years of experience gained in another industrial field, the automotive industry.

Canopies are constructed using materials to ensure maximum precision of geometries, ease of operation and reliability over time. In the company’s factories or directly at the client’s production facility, the company is also able to build gigantic structures for mega-yachts, with roof arches up to 9.70 meters long and 6.40 meters wide.
