Opac has developed an innovative sunroof for the first model in Ferretti Yachts’ InFYnito range. Indeed, on board the InFYnito 90 is an engineering masterpiece made of glass slats created in collaboration with Ferretti’s designers, which fits harmoniously into the yacht’s lines.
The shape of the canopy recalls that of a diamond, and remains very much related and what is the overall design of the boat. Despite having a high level of technology inside, in fact, the canopy integrates perfectly with the yacht, and the choice to use glass makes the outdoor space both more protected and brighter.
The structure, composed of 16 crystal slats all different set in aluminum, covers an area of about 10 square meters and is designed to offer flexibility and comfort. By adjusting the rotation of the slats, the entry of sunlight and air can be managed, while a film filters infrared rays ensuring thermal insulation. Special attention was paid to both the design and functionality of the canopy. A nearly four-meter central longitudinal spar houses the slat-moving mechanism, ensuring a smooth experience for passengers.
Thelaminated hard-top installed on the Ferretti InFYnito 90, a yacht presented at the last CannesBoat Show, also recently caught the attention of the jurors of theBoat International Design and Innovation Awards 2024, earning the prestigious award in the Outstanding Lifestyle Feature category.
Among the distinguishing features that convinced the jurors was the“All Season Terrace,” a covered space at the bow with 360-degree panoramic views, a terrace, lighted and detailed, that can be transformed into a solarium thanks to Opac’s innovative sunroof.
The latest addition to Ferretti Yachts’ InFYnito range, the 80-foot version exhibited in late January at Boot Düsseldorf, also features the same type of glazed hard top, in the two variants with slats or with fixed glass.
