Pacific Omega 78 – External Volumes
The objective with which the Omega 78 takes shape is relatively simple: to create a hull capable of combining luxury, comfort and elegance with all the qualities essential to an explorer destined to travel the world.
A brief that is visibly reflected in the design choices from which it takes shape, starting with the lines of the deadrise, with a high freeboard foredeck, vertical bow foredeck and a lot of attention to the livability of the exterior spaces, with volumes intended not only to please the eye, but also to protect them by deflecting waves and spray, all to the benefit of a livable deck even in complex marine conditions.
Thus, in the bow, protected by the high broadside, there is a lowered convivial area, an open-air lounge with tables and sofas, to enjoy the adventure in the front row.
It is in the stern, however, that the exteriors offer most of their volume, with a first area on the main deck where the cockpit and beach area come to life.
One deck higher, however, a second aft deck overlooks the sea, host, this time, to a lounge area and outdoor galley with piano bar.
Also here, aft, is the place for a rib and, forward, instead, the wheel house, or the Omega 78’s command bridge, complete with nav-station, sitting area and guard cabin.

It is on the two lower decks, however, that the experience really comes to life, with a huge salon on the main deck, complete with lounge areas, dining areas and dedicated spaces for entertaining.
Also located here are the galley and a second single stateroom, while, forward, full-beam, is the first large guest cabin on board, double and with en-suite facilities.
The Main Bridge
On the lower deck, however, the entire space is devoted to just two cabins, a master and a VIP, both complete with every comfort, full beam and perfect for long stays on board.

Motorization and performance
As a hull designed to sail around the world in total safety, the first pivotal element is volumes.
High and well-reasoned in the deadrise, as much as even more studied in terms of the live-aboard, with a displacement hull aimed at maximizing safety, helping in dealing with difficult seas and the complex situations in which the hull may find itself sailing.
Autonomy, in turn, plays its part, with more than 22,000 liters of fuel tank capacity–enough to go through extended periods of autonomous sailing.
Propelling it all, however, is a pair of John Deere engines of 326 horsepower each, enough for top speeds of 12 knots and cruising speeds of 8 knots.
