Palm Beach Boat Show 2022

Sunseeker Predator 65 – 20.50 m

It is one of the most anticipated models of 2022. It’s called Predator 65 and it’s one of the new Sunseeker models aiming to set the market ablaze. This sporty-looking 65-footer combines sleek lines with top performance (and manoeuvrability) thanks to Volvo Penta IPS-1200 or IPS-1350 propulsion. Being at the helm of such a yacht is one of those sensations that can really satisfy those who love sailing on a powerboat. This 18-metre Sunseeker yacht is completed by state-of-the-art equipment and fine finishes. The exteriors range from tinted glass to carbon fibre and polished stainless steel. Basic aft is a cockpit that includes seating, a large sundeck above the garage and a wet bar or lounge seating. Below deck, the three-cabin layout offers accommodation for up to six guests. Each guest cabin has a private head. This new model benefits from an optional crew cabin, accessed via a dedicated staircase in the aft cockpit. The interior layout can be modified as required. A tender garage allows a Williams 345 jet tender to be transported and launched via a new diagonally sliding hydraulic swim platform. The additional garage space can hold SeaBobs, inflatable paddleboards, diving equipment or shelving. Powered by IPS-1200 or IPS-1350 Volvo Penta engines, the top speed is over 35 knots.

Grand Banks GB85 – 26 m

The new Grand Banks 85 is a custom-made yacht suitable for long-range cruising. The hull was created to last a long time, as the “mission” of every Grand Banks. The aim of the boat is not only to provide comfort on crossings, but also to ensure peace and quiet at anchor or at the dock. This is why Mark Richards, the yard’s designer, has introduced V-Warp technology on board, which combines a flared, semi-displacement hull, rigid construction techniques and high-end materials to reduce weight and lower the centre of gravity. The results, the yard promises, are top-of-the-range speed, stability and fuel economy. Below deck there is a maximum beam of 7 metres. This has made it possible to have a master cabin positioned in such a way as to exploit the width to the maximum. The king-size bed is positioned to allow a view of the anchorage from the pillowtop. Aft are the crew quarters, accessible both from the cockpit and from the transom, which the yard is banking on.

Princess V50 – 16 m

World premiered at the Palm Beach Boat Show 2022, the new Princess V50 is an updated version of one of the British yard’s best known models. Designed by the Princess Design Studio in collaboration with naval architects Olesinski and Italian Pininfarina, the new Princess V50 will feature a new hull moulding and new deck plan features. The exterior design features a new hull window line, which covers the entire length of the hull and includes the aft air intake, as also seen on the Princess V55. The boat is powered by two IPS 600 or IPS 650 engines which optimise fuel consumption and increase range. This system also makes the boat easy to manoeuvre (also thanks to the joystick) while maintaining a top speed of over 30 knots. Below deck there is a modern galley with appliances and a U-shaped seating area in front. On board, four guests can sleep in the two main cabins (the owner’s cabin is amidships), while two more can be accommodated by converting the U-shaped galley seat into a third cabin.

Sirena 68 Yacht – 21 m

US debut for the Sirena 68, Sirena Marine’s latest generation cruiser. The GermanFrers design makes this yacht ideal for long displacement cruises. A vision of the sea that fascinates many yachtsmen, so much so that this model has been sold in several units (26 units from September 2021). On board the 68-foot Sirena Marine there is a saloon consisting of a dining area and an open galley. In this area, great attention has been paid to the play of light with large sheets of glass that create a new and fresh environment. On the lower deck the master cabin is full-beam and has a large king-size bed that welcomes the owner giving a feeling of lightness. This is thanks to the unique inventive lighting design and large hull windows that allow natural light to enter.
