When two elite brands from the automotive and nautical (but not only) worlds such as Zagato and Persico Marine intertwine in a straightforward way all that remains is to get comfortable and enjoy the result. The Persico Zagato 100.2, an electric boat of not even 8 meters
which will be produced in 9 examples for 9 owners who will have a collector’s item on their hands. Each one will be unique, in its own way, since the owner can customize it in every detail, and the finishes chosen will not be available later.

The exclusivity of these hulls also comes through the state-of-the-art composite materials used by Persico Marine in the Nembro shipyard from which technological marvels such as Luna Rossa’s AC75 come out. The PZ 100.2 will have a total displacement of only
2,500 kg
,
lithium batteries included
, and will be powered by the electric propulsion system
DeepSpeed 205 kW
, developed by

Sealence

, which is effectively an electric jet-pod marine engine with aircraft-derived jet engines.

The speed, inherent to the Persico and Zagato DNA, will be 40 knots for maximum while the cruising speed will be about 25 knots. Mode of use? Day-cruiser or fast-commuter, ideal for both sea and lakes.

The Zagato team for the PZ 100.2 then collaborated with the multifaceted firm Micheletti + Partners, already the creator of futuristic nautical projects. The style is basic, no-frills and very modern. The result? A pure class product for true admirers.

Persico Zagato 100.2 – Electric boat

“The hull of the Persico Zagato 100.2 has the typical setup of a classic planing hull, whose water lines, however, have been optimized so that the volume center of gravity is in a position to ensure perfect efficiency both in the regime that will have to ensure maximum range and in full planing conditions to reach maximum speed.

This is the key opposition of electric boats, maximizing efficiencies for range and top speed, speed which by the way for the PZ is very important exceeding 40 knots. This is the crucial challenge behind the naval architecture of this project. Persico Zagato 100.2 is native electric and that is what makes it special and better than all ‘electric’ boats derived from a traditional endothermic model.”

Davide Leone, water line development manager for the Leading Edge project team.

Persico Marine and Zagato Atelier

In the nautical world, Persico Marine is an excellence specializing in projects that combine performance and technology, particularly in the sailing world, using the most advanced materials. In contrast, the Persico Group operates across the board from automotive to aeronautics. Zagato is a name that may elude the general public, but with a legendary history. Think even just of iconic models such as the Fulvia Zagato, for example, for which this Italian company made a custom body. Clearly this is just one example.

Zagato was founded back in 1919 and has since then modeled cars for brands such as Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini, Fiat and many others that have become cult favorites, prized by collectors of one-of-a-kind pieces, even winning as many as two prestigious Compasso d’Oro awards during a career of true Italian excellence. Small production, but very high quality.
